Finding clubs…
Castle Cove Sailing Club
Meets: Monday and Wednesday evening racing from 6.30pm or 6.45pm. Sunday morning racing from Easter until Christmas. Friday morning ladies' social sail. Cadets on Saturdays.
Where: Old Castle Road, Weymouth, DT4 8QE
A volunteer run dinghy and keelboat club in Portland Harbour with evening racing twice a week, Sunday racing and a cadet programme.

Egdon Heath Harriers
Meets: Tuesdays at 7pm: winter (30 September to 24 March) at Weymouth College Community Sports Centre DT4 7LQ, summer from the council offices, North Quay car park DT4 8TA. Thursdays at 7pm speedwork at Weymouth Park and Ride DT3 5HJ.
Where: Weymouth and Dorchester
A running club for the Weymouth and Dorchester area that suggests newcomers come along for a few weeks before joining; it puts on the Egdon Easy 10k.

Portland Gig Rowing Club

A community charity formed in 2009 that rows Cornish pilot gigs from Portland Marina, social and competitive, during the week and at weekends through the year.

Weymouth and Portland District Scouts

Where: Groups across Weymouth and Portland
Six Scout groups (Weymouth North, South, East and West, Chesil and 1st Portland) and five Explorer units, with sections from Squirrels at four to Explorers at eighteen.

Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy

Where: Osprey Quay, Portland, DT5 1SA
The 2012 Olympic sailing venue on Portland, open to members and hosting events through the year including the iQFOiL World Championships and Bart's Bash in 2026.

Weymouth Bridge Club
Meets: Each Wednesday, 1.45 for 2.00pm.
Where: Brownsword Hall, Pummery Square, Poundbury, Dorchester, DT1 3GW
Weekly afternoon pairs bridge; despite the name it plays at Brownsword Hall in Poundbury, and the site can help you find a partner.

Weymouth Camera Club
Meets: Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm, October through to the beginning of May.
Where: The Centenary Club, 21 Jubilee Close, Weymouth, DT4 7BG
A small, friendly group of local photographers who meet to share their pictures and improve their skills over the winter season.

Founded in 1944 to enhance civic life for residents of Weymouth and Portland, and based at Tudor House on Trinity Street.

Weymouth parkrun
Meets: Every Saturday at 9:00am.
Where: Lodmoor Country Park, Weymouth, DT4 7SX
A timed 5km run around Lodmoor Country Park every Saturday morning, put on by volunteers; register once on parkrun's site and bring your barcode.

Weymouth RNLI lifeboat station

Where: Lifeboat House, Nothe Parade, The Quay, Weymouth, DT4 8TX
One of the RNLI's busiest stations on the south coast, with a Severn class all weather lifeboat and an Atlantic 85 inshore boat, crewed by volunteers; the station is open to visitors daily from 9am to 5pm.

Weymouth Sailing Club

A charitable sailing club on the Nothe with a sailing programme through the year; it hosts the National Squib South Coast Championship in 2026.
