What this site is

Weymouth Life is a free guide to Weymouth and the area around it. We work hard to keep it right, every listing says where it came from and when it was checked, but opening times change, events get cancelled and buses break down. Check with the business or organiser before you set off for anything that matters.

Bookings and orders

When you book a room or order food here, your contract is with that business, not with us. We pass your request to them and they confirm it, serve you and take your payment on their own payment page. We do not hold money, take commission or add fees. If something goes wrong with a booking, the business is who you talk to, and we will help you reach them.

Businesses listed here

Listing is free and stays free. You must own or run the business you list, the details you give must be true, and you must honour bookings and orders you accept here the same as ones from anywhere else. We can remove a listing that is wrong, misleading or getting complaints, and we will tell you why.

Events

Anyone can send an event in. A person checks it before it appears. We do not make up details and we will not publish an event we cannot confirm. Posters and pictures you send must be yours to send.

Reviews, quotes and rides

A review only appears once the person who wrote it confirms it from their own inbox, and it must be about a job they actually had done. A trade can reply to a review but cannot remove one; they can flag it and a person looks. Quote requests and ride requests are introductions: the trade or driver rings you, you agree the price with them, and you pay them. We only list licensed taxi and private hire drivers and we check the licence before a driver goes live, but we are not the operator and do not carry you.

Adverts

Adverts are always labelled as adverts. An advert never changes what we say about a place and a listing cannot be bought a better position.

Content

Write-ups, pictures we have made and the design of the site belong to Weymouth Life. Photographs credited to a business or organiser belong to them. Quote us with a link, please, rather than copying pages wholesale.

The site is provided as it is. We are not liable for loss arising from information on it, from a business you dealt with through it, or from the site being unavailable.
