Under a kilometre of level boardwalk and path from Ferrybridge along the edge of the Fleet lagoon to the Chesil Beach Centre, where there is a cafe, toilets and the beach itself. Easy with a pushchair or wheelchair. From 1 May to 31 August the beach on the Fleet side beyond the centre is closed for nesting birds, so the walk stops at the centre in summer.

Getting there
Portland buses stop at Ferrybridge. Chesil Beach Centre car park at the far end.
Before you go: Seaward part of Chesil beyond the centre is closed 1 May to 31 August for nesting terns and plovers.
