Sandsfoot Castle and Gardens
A tiny stroll to a Tudor ruin above Portland Harbour, with ramps all the way.
GentleStep free
Barely a walk and all the better for it. Ramped paths through the gardens to Henry VIII's castle ruin on the edge of Portland Harbour, with a tea room in the gardens in season and benches everywhere. Join it to the Rodwell Trail, which passes the gate, for something longer. The castle itself and the footbridge into it have been closed for safety work; check before promising the kids the inside.
